Hope. We all need hope.
The current public health pandemic is leaving many people feeling uncertain about the future and what tomorrow may bring.
Individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet during the best of times find it even harder to put food on the table during uncertain times.
The vulnerable become more vulnerable.
Consider the single mother working part-time whose hours are reduced, or the senior working in his retirement years who is laid off due to a slowing business. These are the people who will turn to The Salvation Army in their time of need.
We are anticipating an increased need at food banks and feeding centres in the days and weeks ahead. Today, I am asking you to make a donation to help the most vulnerable people in our communities with a special gift.
Your compassionate support ensures The Salvation Army will provide food, basic necessities and emotional care to people in need every day.
Thank you for giving hope today.
Lt-Colonel John P. Murray, MA, APR, CFRE
Territorial Secretary for Communications, The Salvation Army
P.S. We are committed to taking preventative measures to protect the safety of the 1.6 million people we serve each year. Their well-being is our top priority. Wishing you and your family health and wellness.
